Port Vila City Council Issues Reminder on Vendor Permits Ahead of Cruise Ship Arrival

As Port Vila gears up to receive another cruise ship, the Port Vila City Council (PVCC) has reinforced its stance on vendor regulations. All vendors catering to tourists are reminded to possess a valid Open-air vendor’s permit. Any vendor operating without this permit will be asked to halt their sales immediately. To ensure compliance, PVCC officers will be inspecting vendors throughout the day, placing emphasis on permit verification. Pauline Timothy, the Council’s Public Relations Officer, stressed the importance of adhering to these regulations, reminding vendors they can still update their permit status. With the permit set at VT11960 annually, the Council's initiative is to promote fairness and establish a positive business environment for all vendors.
