ourism in Vanuatu continues to grow robustly despite challenges like aviation connectivity and climate change, according to Mark Kalotap, Principal Tourism Investment Officer at the Department of Tourism (DoT). The DoT has launched the Tourism Business Recovery Program (TBRP) to assist tourism operators across the country, supported by the New Zealand Government. This program follows the successful Tourism Business Support Programme (TBSP) of 2021-2022 and aims to help businesses improve their facilities and become business-ready by 2024 and 2025. A steering committee, led by Mr. Kalotap and comprising representatives from various government departments and the Vanuatu Tourism Office, will review and award funding to eligible tourism businesses.
