Luganville Cruise, Espiritu Santo

Luganville is the main town on the island of Espiritu Santo (commonly known as Santo, locally). It is the second largest town in Vanuatu after Port Vila. The population is around 13000 people. A main feature of the town is its very wide road, having been developed during World War II, when Luganville, was the hub for US Military forces in the South Pacific, as a support and supply base.

On Cruise Days Luganville comes alive with the focal point being Unity Park, in the centre of town. Here you can meet the locals, and support the community, enjoying fresh, locally grown organic produce, and shopping for souvenirs of your visit. Kastom and Cultural entertainment is featured at Unity Park creating a festive atmosphere for everyone to enjoy.

Luganville Wharf is currently undergoing a major redevelopment. The project commenced in 2015 and is due for completion in mid-2017. A feature of the redevelopment will be a new passenger terminal with full facilities. Currently Shore Tours transport departs from within the wharf. All other transport operators wait at the Wharf exit on the main road, which leads directly to Luganville township.
